so had another tryst with the Great indian Bureaucracy...let me tell you about my trip to the Passport Office...with zeb! :)
so there i was..lookinh like a complete yuppie and a half..all plugged into my walkman totally ignoring the world around me...listening to a funny RJ on Mid-day Radio (yeah...old loyalties die hard...) and trying to remember the formula for Covariance...bright and early at 9:30 am in the queue along with several 'phoren ja rahen hain' hopefuls!
so zeb comes along...just in the nick of time...when they are letting us in...but wait a minute..what is this...the guard only lets him in..and i who have borne the sweltering heat and dust for over half an hour..am just brushed aside like an untouchable....sniff...sniff..too much of an ego wound to handle for the day...anyways to cut a long story short...managed to fool the guard and enter...and then we are in for a whole day's wait tryig to figure out all kinds of permutaitons and combinations of the form and other documents that the angry clerk with the coffee cum paan stained teeth would demand from us!
so a discussion on privatisation, half a cup of coffee..half a samosa pav..half a sandwich and half a glass of juice later...we finally manage to submit our documents...and what do you know!! it was a feeling almost equal to that of conquering the Everest!!
