the terrible tryst with math continues...

had a micro test today...knew everything..but took too long to calculate...so couldn't complete my paper...kicked myself so hard in the posterior that i am actually doing all the typing right now standing...

have discovered all kinds of freaks here...there is one who has a persecution complex...obviously from delhi...she has this.." I am a child genius who has been denied her due" attitude...thoroughly entertaining though to watch her pine...quite vociferously...ironic that i am going to be singing Vincent by Don Mclean for Pulse (it's the college fest..and we all have to participate and no one from my team is willing to risk singing..)

the punju kids from Delhi are the funniest to watch...they insist on eating at Barista at least once a week...so that they do not lose out on the good things in life far away from home...after all they are from the 'hipper' parts of the world...

i am sleep deprived and starved of conversations...dreams have turned to nightmares with calculus doing his regular vists every night...he hasn't failed me even once so far...

am presenting a Marxist debate on colonialism vis a vis the neo classicals...

can't this quote of Joan Robinson out of my head...she speaks of the IS LM which has been attributed to Keynes (apparently quite wrongly coz it was actually an American economist Hanson who developed it and was later popularised by Samuelson)

..so she calls it the 'Bastard Keynesianism'!! ( she was his student...)

I doff my hat to that!! made my macro class worth writing about...

sincere apologies...actually i kinda checked my notes again before you sent me this link...and wanted to sink deep into the ground...

so..point well taken...hicks developed it in Mr Keynes and the Classicals published in Econometrica in 1937..later it was popularised by Hanson and Samuelson...which Robinson dubbed as Bastard Keynesianism!!

Gokhaleiite (double ahem!!)
